 Omani employee statistics:

New joiners to Pvt. Sector : 900-1000 monthly .
Re employment & inactive employees: 800-900 monthly.
Resignation/ terminations : 1000-1250 monthly

2005 : Resignation : 5490 - 43.8% of there employees were appointed in 2005
             Termination : 5134 43.8%= 4655(Resignation-2425) (Termination-2230)

Reduction in the percentage of termination & resignation
   In 2005 compared to 2004 - 44%
Resignation in 2004 8147
Termination in 04 10364

This indicates the success & the steps taken to curb this phenomenon which include
awareness campaign last year which focused on encouraging Omanis to settle in their jobs & encouraging the companies to provide more opportunity & display more patience & flexibility.

(Main Reasons) for resignations & for termination.
1- Low wages
2- Limited growth opportunities.

Secondary Reasons;
1- Difficulty in adapting to the working environment
2- Difficulty of commuting to & from work place.
