Siw Ranatapaa Buring

Siw Rantapaa-Buring is a Swedish economist who has been living in the Middle East for the last twenty-five years. Since 1987 she has had her residence in the Sultanate of Oman.

Mrs Rantapää-Buring is the Managing Partner of a First Grade Omani Company and works principally as a Business Development Consultant for both government and private sector projects in various fields.

She has a Bachelor of Social Science and has in addition also studied economy, law, information and personal administration at Swedish universities.

Before a three year education in economy, she took a course in journalism.

She has attended many courses and workshops in methodology and pedagogy and has produced educational material in many different subjects.

She has a long experience of lecturing/teaching owners and executives of small and medium scale industries in most subjects related to their businesses. She has also held many workshops in Presentation Skills.

For many years she taught languages, English, German and French, at the higher levels in the compulsory school system and at open universities in Sweden.

In Oman she has held seminars in Service Marketing with emphasize on Customer Service and conducted workshops in Business Writing.

She has also for many years taught English part time at most levels at Hawthorne, Polyglot, the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO).
